1/2 cup cornstarch
1 /2 cup sugar
1 cup coconut milk

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.  Add 1/4 cup water and stir. Let coconut milk boil and gradually add in the starch mixture.  Boil of 5 minutes or until starch is cooked.  Pour into oiled mold and let cool.  Serve with grated, toasted, sweetened coconut milk.

    Try this instead:1/4 desiccated coconut milk,stir in heated pan until brown set aside(for toppings) 2 cans coconut milk,1 can condensed milk,1 can cream style corn: 1 cup cornstarch and 1 cup water or milk instead for special maja:// in a bowl add cornstarch and water or milk(dilute) sure no lumps)set aside:/// boil coconut milk atleast 3mins.slow fire add milk and corn,let it simmer and stirring time to time atleast for another 4mins. Slow fire: add diluted cornstarch continue mixing cook for atleast 4 mins.now your maja mixture is ready:// spread it in a 9 by 13 baking dish,then your coconut toppings: pronto you got your perfect maja:
