Bamboo Shoots with Mushrooms recipe, Filipino Recipes

  • 12 oz can bamboo shoots
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tbs sake
  • 1 tbs crushed garlic
  • 10 dried black Chinese mushrooms, soaked in warm water and drained
  • 1 tsp chicken stock powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Drain bamboo shoots then simmer in boiling water for 5 minutes.  Drain and coarsley slice.

Heat oil in a wok and stir-fry garlic and mushrooms until fragrant.  Add bamboo and seasonings and stir-fry for a further 2 minutes.  Serve immediately.
