Ingredients:
- 1 tbs oil
- 1 tbs sake
- 2 thin slices of ginger
- 4 cups chicken stock
- 8 button mushrooms, diced
- 1 small carrot, peeled and diced
- 1 cup fresh or frozen corn kernels
- 2 tbs fresh or frozen peas
- 1/2 cup cooked crab meat
- 3 tbs cornstarch mixed with 3 tbs water
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
HEat oil in a wok over medium-high heat and add sake and ginger. When sizzling, add stock and bring to a boil. Add mushrooms and carrots and simmer for 5 minutes. Add corn, peas, crab, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes and stir in cornstarch mixture, stirring until soup thickens. Add pepper and oil and serve.
