Pork Dumplings with Soy Sauce Dip recipe, Filipino Recipes

  • 8 oz ground pork
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 2 tbs sake
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
  • 25 wonton wrappers

Ingredients for Sauce:

  •  1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbs chili oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Combine all filling ingredients except wrappers and mix well.  Fill wrappers with 1 teaspoon of filling each and moisten edges of wrappers with a little wrapper; fold and press edges, making sure there are no air bubbles inside.  Lower dumplings into a pot of boiling water and simmer for about 3 minutes.  Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.

Combine all sauce ingredients and serve with hot dumplings.
