Ingredients:
- 8 oz beef, thinly sliced
- 1 tbs oil
- 1/2″ piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
- 1 tbs minced garlic
- 12 oz Chinese broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 tbs mushroom oyster sauce
Ingredients for Marinade:
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- 2 tsp mushroom oyster sauce
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp sake
- 1 tsp cornstarch
Mix all Marinade ingredients together and combine with beef. Marinate up to overnight.
Heat 1/2 tablespoon of the oil in a wok over high heat and stir-fry ginger 30 seconds then discard the ginger. Add beef to the wok and stir-fry for for 1 minute, then remove from wok and set aside. Add remaining oil and stir-fry garlic for 30 seconds over high heat, then add broccoli stems. Stir-fry for 1 minute then add broccoli leaves and continue to stir-fry. Stir in oyster sauce and cook for another minute. Return beef to the wok and heat through. Serve hot.
